Rabat — On occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, sent congratulatory messages to the heads of brotherly Islamic States.
In the messages, HM the King expressed heartfelt wishes of health and well being to the heads of Sates, and further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Islamic peoples, a statement of the Royal Household said.
HM the King said that the advent of the sacred month is a reminder for the Islamic Ummah to be attached to the precepts of Islam and the values of moderation and the middle-way as well as solidarity between the peoples.
This, HM the King went on to say, would contribute to preserve human dignity, guarantee social justice to the brotherly peoples of the Islamic Ummah and reinforce security and stability with the ultimate goal of achieving unity, harmony and symbiosis and be shielded from scattering and divisions.
On this occasion, the Monarch prayed the Almighty to grant success to the leaders of the Ummah to further strengthen the brotherly inter-islamic ties of cooperation and solidarity and safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of Islamic states with a view to meeting the aspirations to progress of their peoples and achieve complementarity and prosperity.
In a message to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, HM the King asked god to crown with success the efforts of the Saudi Sovereign in favour of the just causes of the Ummah.
In a similar message to UAE President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HM the King voiced satisfaction regarding the sincere and brotherly ties of permanent solidarity between the two countries as well as the convergence of views concerning issues of common concern for the two brotherly peoples of Morocco and the UAE.
In messages to Maghreban heads of states, the Monarch highlighted the time-honored religious ties between the peoples of the region and stressed on their common aspirations to progress, development, unity, complementarity and good neighbourliness within the framework of a strong Maghreb union that will enable “taking up all challenges notably those of development and security.”
In this respect, HM the King asked the Almighty to further reinforce the ties of Maghreban fraternity and Islamic solidarity, to consolidate the means of cooperation and integration between the Maghreban peoples and to preserve the sovereignty and unity of the countries of the region.
In a message to the President of the Palestinian National Authority, the Sovereign reiterated, in his capacity as President of Al-Quds Committee, the Kingdoms unwavering position supporting the peaceful and legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people.
In this connection, the Monarch reiterated commitment to establishing a Palestinian Sovereign State with eastern Al-Quds as its capital living side by side in peace with its neighbor, including Israel, within the framework of international legality.
HM the King also highlighted the excellent brotherly ties with African Muslim states, praying the Almighty to preserve the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of African states and grant success to their leaders in their efforts to achieve further progress, development and prosperity.
