A Sale judge imprisoned three members of a nine-member terror cell dismantled recently, MAP reported on Thursday (November 8th).

The group intended to create a training camp in the Rif mountains “in order to carry out terrorist acts against public authorities”, the interior ministry said in a statement.

The suspects also planned to use information from the internet to make explosives, as well as rob businesses in Sale to finance their operations, the ministry added. The group is also accused of setting up a fake roadblock near Ouazzane.

The cell members were caught following the arrests of two alleged militant salafists on October 17th near Rabat, authorities said.
