Paris — French economic daily “Les Echos” highlighted, on Thursday, the enthusiasm of business lawyers, mainly of Anglo-Saxon origin, for Morocco which has become the profession’s new “El Dorado”.
Three law firms namely “Allen & Overy”, “Clifford Chance” and “Norton Rose” announced the opening by the end of the year of offices in Casablanca, the paper recalled, underlining that these series of announcements reflect a well-thought out development strategy.
It said that Morocco was chosen by the law firms due to its political stability, a 3.7% economic growth in 2010, its infrastructure and a well-defined legal framework, noting that the project of setting up a business district “Casablanca Finance City” opens interesting prospects for development.
