Morocco, EU Sign MoU On Clusters Promotion

The Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies signed, Tuesday in Casablanca, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Clusters and Competitiveness Foundation (CCF), the European Innovation Management Academy (EIMA), and the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP).

   The MoU, signed on the sidelines of the Moroccan-EU Business Forum, provides for the implementation of the “Euromed-innovative entrepreneurs for change” program, according to a statement by the Ministry.

This program aims to promote excellence in cluster management, reinforce innovation management support services through training, develop closer cooperation between clusters, business incubators and networks to support the promotion of SMEs in common interest strategic areas through B2B/matchmaking partnership events.

At the forum, attended by about a hundred representatives of European firms, in the presence of Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship, Antonio Tajani, Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, Abdelkader Amara recalled the measures taken and progress achieved by the Kingdom to improve the business climate, as well as the opportunities offered by Morocco, particularly those arising from sectoral strategies.
