MoroccoTomorrow notes with great satisfaction the calm atmosphere in which the parliamentary elections were held last Friday. These elections, which were the first held under the new constitution ratified this past July, are undoubtedly the initial fruit of the democratic reforms initiated by His Majesty the King. Despite calls for a boycott by advocates of the “February 20th” protests and others, voter participation was relatively noteworthy, with over 45% turnout among eligible voters, and significantly higher than the 2007 elections.

On behalf of its members and followers, MT would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the PJD and its leadership on their historic victory … We wish them much success with the great and many responsibilities the Moroccan people have entrusted with them.
