RABAT (KUNA) — The Moroccan government has voiced anger and surprise of the US Department of State’s report on the human rights situation in the Western Sahara.

“The report is biased, incomplete and unbalanced,” Minister of Communications and Spokesperson of the Moroccan Government Mustapha El-Khalfi said following a cabinet meeting Thursday.

El-Khalif added that the report included general statements and accusations of closure of opposition websites and politically-motivated arrests without citing examples and proofs.
He highlighted the Moroccan government efforts to resolve the dispute over Western Sahara as well as to ensure the respect of human rights there. (end) adt.ibi KUNA 032342 Oct 13NNNN
