RABAT, June 26 (BERNAMA-NNN-MAP) — Morocco has condemned the attack by Syrian forces last Friday against a Turkish fighter aircraft over the Mediterranean and has expressed its solidarity with the Turkish government and people, the Foreign Ministry says.
The ministry added in a press statement here Monday that the Kingdom “considers that this incident is likely to further complicate the Syrian crisis and the danger of its implications on neighbouring countries, by threatening the security and stability in the region”.Morocco urged the international community to increase efforts and work to achieve a political solution to the crisis, in accordance with the plan of the joint envoy of the Arab League and the United Nations, Kofi Annan, in response to the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people to freedom and development, the statement said.– BERNAMA-NNN-MAP
