RABAT, Nov 1 (KUNA) — The Moroccan Interior Ministry has arrested a terrorist cell planning to target the country’s major state agencies and bodies.
The cell had put up a terrorist training camp in the northernmost of this north African country with the aim of launching terrorist operations against vital public institutions in Morocco, the ministry said in a release here Thursday.
“As part of its preparations for such terrorist acts, the members of this cell planned to make explosives via Internet and to rob shops in Salé City in Rabat in order to find money for financing their criminal projects,” it added.
The terrorist cell was arrested in possession of tools and bulletproof vests as well as black flags of al-Qaeda network.
