Morocco Arrests Suspect Wanted by France for Financing Terrorism

The Moroccan authorities arrested on Tuesday a dual French-Algerian national wanted by France for financing terrorism, forming a criminal gang and defending acts of terrorism.

The 36-year-old suspect was apprehended upon his arrival at the Mohammed V International Airport of Casablanca from Algeria, the Moroccan police said in a statement.

He has been wanted by the French judiciary which issued an international warrant for his arrest in April 2016, according to the statement.

The Moroccan authorities have informed France of the arrest of the suspect who was remanded in police custody according to the extradition procedure, the statement said.
