MOROCCO AND SPAIN STRENGTHEN THEIR BUSINESS COOPERATION

MOROCCO/SPAIN. The meeting betweenAbdelilah Benkirane, Morocco’s Prime Minister, and Mariano Rajoy, Spanish Prime Minister, on Wednesday 3rd October ended with the signature of 8 bilateral agreements.

These texts concern the cultural sector, the educational one, the sports one, road transport (passengers and goods) and immigration, and also some measures to apply for the abolition of visas for passports.

Spain has a strong Moroccan community and is the 2nd commercial partner of Morocco.

Mariano Rajoy is satisfied with the agreements that “could stimulate employment and allow Spanish economy to develop and to oppose competition”. By reminding us the leader position of his Country in such fields as “the stabilization of water, infrastructures and renewable energy”, the Prime Minister underlines the importance to note “the presence of Spanish companies in foreign countries”.
