RABAT, April 1 (KUNA) — Hundreds of thousands of Moroccans took to Casablanca streets Sunday to protest the illegal Israeli moves aiming to shift the historic Arab character of the occupied Jerusalem.
The protesters, estimated at about 750,000 people from the four corners of Morocco, chanted slogans and hoisted banners that calls for support to Palestinian people struggle and condemn Israel’s schemes to change the character and demography of the occupied holy city.
Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane, several cabinet ministers and senior officials participated in the event.
The protesters also denounced Israeli settlement activities, demolition of Palestinian homes and human abuses and crimes against the Palestinian people. (end)
