Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine El Othmani reaffirmed Tuesday in Rabat his country’s support to stability in Libya.
During his meeting with Libya’s Interior Minister Fathi Bachagha, El Othmani reiterated the support of Morocco for “efforts by the Libyan brothers to restore stability in the country,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
He also reiterated Morocco’s commitment to “respecting the sovereignty of states and the principle of non-interference that characterizes the Moroccan foreign policy,” the statement added.
For his part, Bachagha expressed the gratitude of the Libyan people to Morocco for its “unwavering support to achieve stability” in Libya, the same source said.
The Libyan official also vowed his country’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with Morocco and benefit from the Moroccan expertise in several areas, particularly in security, stability and investment, the source pointed out.
