Moroccan King visits UAE Pavillion at International Dates Fair

WAM ERFOUD, MOROCCO: King Mohammed the VI of Morocco on Saturday visited the UAE pavilion at the International Dates Fair which is organised by the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries in Erfoud City, Morocco.

Secretary General of the Khalifa International Date Palm Award Dr Abdul Wahab Zayed told WAM that he briefed the Moroccan king on the UAE’s participation at the second edition of the event as well as on the Award and the studies it conducts on palm trees.

He said that the UAE’s participation further promotes the role the UAE plays in the development of date palm tree farming.

Zayed also noted the support extended to efforts to promote palm tree agriculture by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. He also the directives by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
