London – Representatives of the Moroccan Jewish community living in the UK reiterated, on Tuesday, their deep attachment to Morocco and its values of openness, diversity and tolerance.

During a meeting with Minister Delegate in charge of the Moroccan Community Abroad, the Moroccan Jews in the UK expressed emotional ties and loyalty to Morocco.

“Our community maintains strong ties with Morocco,” Rabbi of the Moroccan Jewish community in the UK Mordechai Nissim said.

Morocco stands as a model of openness, tolerance and coexistence between Muslims and Jews at a time several parts of the world are torn by tensions, Rabbi Mordechai Nissim went on to say.

For his part, prominent member of the Moroccan Jewish community Sydney Assor welcomed inclusion of the Jewish constituent in the new constitution.
