Moroccan FM Meets With Speakers Of Both Houses Of Japanese Parliament

Tokyo – Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad Dine El Otmani met, on Tuesday in Tokyo, with the speakers of the two houses of Japanese parliament on cooperation ties between Morocco and Japan.

“The talks touched on the future of bilateral relations and means to promote them notably at the level of legislative bodies,” El Otmani said in a statement to MAP following his talks with Takahiro Yokomichi and Kenji Hirata, speakers of the houses of representatives and of advisors respectively.

On this occasion, the two parties expressed their satisfaction with their bilateral relations, deeming it necessary to strengthen cooperation in the different fields notably through the exchange of visits between parliamentary delegations, he added.

The two parties also voiced their satisfaction with the convergence of viewpoints on a number of issues of shared interest.

The Moroccan official started Monday a three-day official visit to Japan and met with several high-ranking Japanese officials.
