MOROCCAN BUSINESS DELEGATION RECEIVED AT UNITY PALACE

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ADDOHA GROUP, ANAS SEFRIOUI, HAS BEEN GRANTED AUDIENCE BY THE HEAD OF STATE HIS EXCELLENCY PAUL BIYA. THE CONSTRUCTION OF LOW COST BUILDINGS WAS AT THE CENTRE OF THE AUDIENCE THAT TOOK PLACE AT UNITY PALACE ON WEDNESDAY 9 MAY 2012

The President and senior officials of the Addoha Group were granted audience by President Paul BIYA at Unity Palace for over one hour. Speaking to the press at the end of their discussions, ANAS SEFRIOUI was highly elated by the opportunity to discuss their investment projects with the Head of State. He lauded the goodwill that exists between the two countries and the desire to strengthen the already close ties.

The president of Addoha group revealed that his company intends to invest in low cost buildings in Cameroon so as to give Cameroonians the opportunity to have comfortable lodgings. He was upbeat about the capacity of his company to provide such facilities, saying that his company currently builds 30 000 such houses every year. This project is also intended to foster the South – South cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and Cameroon.ANAS SEFRIOUI announced the setting up of a cement factory in Douala as the first step of their investment projects. The factory that will cost over 20million Euros to build will have a production capacity of 500 000 tons of cement annually. It will equally offer direct employment to over 1 000 Cameroonians, and several other indirect jobs. He declared that the first bag of cement will roll out of the factory by December 2012.The President of Addoha Group was accompanied to the audience by SAAD SEFRIOUI, Permanent Secretary of the company and the Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to Cameroon, LAHCEN SAILE.Source: PRC
