Selected companies will exhibit in Brazil Pavilion during the International Agricultural Fair of Morocco (SIAM) in Meknes. Ministry of Agriculture organizes participation. Deadline for registering is Friday (31).

São Paulo – The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) is organizing a trade mission to Morocco and accepting entries from interested companies until this Friday (31) at its website. The travel will occur next April, and selected companies will participate in Brazil Pavilion of the International Agricultural Fair of Morocco (SIAM) in Meknes, Morocco.

The mission is organized by MAPA in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Relations and supported by Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce also supports by promoting it.

SIAM 2020 will run from April 14-19. Brazil’s goal in the agribusiness show is taking eight companies to exhibit. The opportunities are for several different agribusiness companies, from family agriculture cooperatives to machinery manufacturers.

This is the first time Brazil will have a pavilion in the show, where companies selected for the mission will exhibit their products. The brands will feature a structure including bilingual receptionists, institutional catalogues, and furniture to prepare and exhibit their products and hold meetings with potential buyers and technical support from the MAPA staff.

The Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association (ABIMAQ) has already registered to participate with a institutional stand in Brazilian pavilion.

MAPA told ANBA that it’s organizing together with Brazil’s attaché and Embassy in Morocco technical visits and lectures on the days prior to the show so that the companies can get to know the local market.

As for Apex-Brasil, it’ll organize B2Bs during the show with meetings scheduled according to the profile of the Brazilian companies and potential buyers. In 2019, the show welcomed 850,000 visitors, which corresponds to 2.5% of Moroccan population. In 2020, SIAM holds its 15th edition.
