Mission Impossible 5 Cast Films In London And Morocco, Offers “Prometheus” Actor Sean Harris Villain Role; Latest News On Mission Impossible’s Fifth Movie Inside!

In an exclusive with Deadline: Paramount has offered a villain role to Sean Harris of the Ridley Scott sci-fi Prometheus. Harris has also appeared in 24 Hour Party People and The Borgias.

Tom Cruise was previously reported flying to Morocco this September to shoot for the fifth installment of the highly successful espionage/spy series.

It is reported that the Mission Impossible production teams have already arrived to prepare shooting beforehand in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital, the district chosen for the shoot is the Jewish ghetto, or “mellah,” in the Old Medina quarter.

Director Christopher McQuarrie recently confirmed Ving Rhames joining the cast, returning to his role as Ethan Hunt’s computer expert Luther Stickell on his Twitter: Mquarrie Tweeted “Welcome back, Mr. Rhames.” Mentioning also co-stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner A family reunion of sorts, Simon Peg and Jeremy Renner will also reprise their characters of Benjie Dunn and William Brandt, respectively. Renner also confirmed his role in an interview with Yahoo! TV: “I’m kind of strapped time-wise doing ‘Avengers 2,’ and ‘Mission: Impossible 5′ is rearing its head, and then they want to do another ‘Bourne’ movie.

“It’s unlikely I can find the time right now. And that’s all right. It’s just really high-class problems – pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don’t, I couldn’t,” he said. Though the photos do not give away too much, the first Mission Impossible 5 set photos has surfaced at comingsoon.net. Filming in Vienna, Simon Pegg is seen in a tuxedo, which could mean that his character Benji Dunn will be doing some work in the field.

Cruise and Ferguson can be seen hanging on the roof with cables attached to them, which could indicate that they themselves are doing their own stunt work. Cruise is no stranger do doing his own stunts, notably his climbing scene outside of a building in Ghost Protocol. Mission Impossible 5 will hit theaters on Christmas day, exactly a week after Star Wars: Episode VII (Dec. 18)
