Memac Ogilvy has formed a strategic alliance with Saga Communication in Morocco.
Memac, which has ended its previous affiliation in the country, says the new alliance has been formed to leverage Saga Communication’s local expertise and Memac Ogilvy’s regional network, and to “explore opportunities in the rapidly growing Moroccan market”.
Edmond Moutran, chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy & Mather Holding, Middle East & North Africa, said: “Saga Communication brings strong expertise in the areas of telecommunication, consumer products and communication of companies and public institutions since 1993. The combined knowledge and talent of Memac Ogilvy and Saga, along with the strength of the regional and global network, will allow us to position the company as a frontrunner in the Moroccan market.”
For the time being Saga will keep its name, although it is expected that the relationship will be strengthened in the coming few years. Saga Communication chairman, Chakir Fassi Fihri, said: “This merger gives us a larger platform of professionals, techniques and expertise to support local clients. We are looking forward to deepening our relationship with Memac Ogilvy and cultivating the abundant new opportunities that lay ahead.”
The alliance covers advertising, activation, digital, public relations and planning.
