Laurent Fabius hosted his Moroccan counterpart, Saad Eddine El Othmani, at the Quai d’Orsay yesterday for an extremely friendly, warm meeting.
The two ministers welcomed the exceptional relationship between France and Morocco. They discussed the preparation of future bilateral meetings, including the 11th High-Level Meeting, which will take place in Casablanca and Rabat on 12 and 13 December 2012, led by the two prime ministers.
The meeting was an opportunity to confirm that we see very much eye to eye on the main regional issues, particularly Mali, Syria and the situation in Gaza.
The two ministers also talked about the agenda of Morocco’s United Nations Security Council presidency next month, and the preparation of the Friends of the Syrian People Group meeting, scheduled to take place in Marrakesh on 12 December.
