After two days, the Mauritanian government and the opposition coalition suspended their political dialogue over the upcoming elections, Jeune Afrique reported on Wednesday (October 2nd). The sides reportedly could not agree on the postponement of the legislative ballot.

Mauritania’s election commission last month postponed the national legislative and municipal poll until November 23rd, after the 13 party Co-ordination of Democratic Opposition threatened a boycott.
