Nouakchott – Maroc Telecom, the main telecommunication company in Morocco, said it will endeavour to ensure connection of Mauritania to the international network.
The statement was made by CEO of Maroc Telecom Abdeslam Ahizoune who was speaking to the press following a meeting on Monday in Nouakchott with Mauritanian Prime Minister Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf.
The meeting examined cooperation between Maroc Telecom and Mauritania through the Moroccan-Mauritanian telecommunication company, Mauritel, Ahizoune said.
Ahizoune said that his company, which owns 50% of Mauritel shares, will endeavour to meet the rising demand in Mauritania on broadband internet and mobile telephony.
