SKATE SLATE
Written by: Justus Zimmerly
The Long Treks crew continues their arduous journey through Morocco, covering plenty of ground but dealing with some setbacks as well. There’s never a dull moment when Paul, Aaron, and Adam are on the road.
Team sets off with an amazing tailwind. With sporting sails out they take advantage and gain ground fast. Paul has a mishap with the sail which sends him and the camera to the ground hard. Dealing with his injury the team takes rest. Back on the road skating Paul deals with his sore body. The wind continues to blow and keeps the team up at night. Sleep deprived they push on towards snow-capped peaks.
Born in Chicago and raised on the flat Canadian prairies, it wasn’t until moving to Ontario for school in 2005 that Justus got a taste for riding skateboards down hills. Since then it’s been a bit of an obsession. He graduated with a degree in Film Studies, but spent as much time focussed on skateboarding as he did on studying. Now he’s living the good life in Waterloo, Ontario, telling dumb jokes and working as Editor-in-chief for Skate[Slate].More Posts – Website – Twitter
