One particular member of Grazia team beauty has taken on the role of roving beauty reporter and travelled all the way to a very hot and steamy Morocco to learn more on the upcoming beauty arrivals from cosmetic experts Rimmal. Hear all about it below…
It might be a casual 49 degrees outside and it may feel like there is a severe danger of us melting in the sun, but in the name of serious beauty research we’re enduring these desert-like Moroccan temperatures to discover exactly what’s in store for Rimmel in the next couple of months. From their fab new nail polish hues to awesome new lipstick shades from Kate Moss, it’s all pretty exciting stuff.
In between a makeup masterclasses, where we’ve trialled Kate’s new lippies and also learnt that ‘taupe’ is the perfect flattering eyeshadow shade for everyone, we have also experienced a typical Morrocan Hammam treatment too. Be warned – these are not for the shy or fainthearted. Therapists begin by applying black soap to purify the skin before giving you an effective top-to-toe scrub down with a special exfoliating mitt which literally strips the layers of dead skin right in front of your eyes! Yikes!
But we digress… back to the Rimmel discoveries. We are particularly intrigued by the news that foundation shades might soon be determined by the region you live in! Just like the eyebrow map that we talked about earlier this week, we ladies are apparently so regional specific with the way we buy our foundation and other makeup, that beauty brands such as Rimmel are now thinking about editing the shades they stock by region…
