Rabat – Libya would like Morocco to play a role in the reconstruction process of Libya, said the Libyan government spokesman, Nasser El Mani.
Morocco has important means likely to enable it to contribute to the reconstruction process of Lybia, told the press after Mr. El Mani talks between Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane, leader of the government and his Libyan counterpart, Abderrahim El Kib, a working visit to Morocco.
He, in this sense, reported that Libya has entered a new phase under the sign of the establishment of the Libyan state and strengthening its institutions.
The visit of Mr. El Kib to lead a large delegation gives new impetus to relations between Morocco and Libya and breaking a barrier that has lasted too long, said the Libyan official, affirming the determination of the administration of his country take advantage of the opportunities now to consolidate these relations.
For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr Saad El Dine Otmani, who attended this meeting with the Minister of State, Mr. Abdellah Baha, said that the visit of Libyan delegation to this important Morocco inaugurated a new phase in bilateral relations, and will certainly have an impact on the dynamics of the Maghreb Union.
