Launch of the U.S.-Morocco Strategic Dialogue

Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for Morocco Saad-Eddine Al-Otmani will launch the U.S.-Morocco Strategic Dialogue with opening remarks at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13.

After this opening session, Senior U.S. and Moroccan officials will continue discussions in four working groups focused on political, economic, security, and educational and cultural affairs. The day’s events will conclude with a closing session led by Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and Minister Delegate Youssef Amrani.

The opening remarks will be open to the press.
Pre-set time for video cameras: 8:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby.
Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 9:30 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver’s license, passport).
