Kuwait U-17 football team to face Morocco’s, Yemen’s, Algeria’s in third group

TUNIS, May 30 (KUNA) — The draw for Arab Football Cup, held on Wednesday, pit the Kuwaiti U-17 national team against the Moroccan, Yemeni, and Algerian teams in third group of the tournament, due to take place on July 2-16.

Today’s draw also has put the host nation (Tunisia) against Mauritania, Oman, and Libya amid the first group in the competition.

The second group will include Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, and Iraq.

The opening match in coastal Al-Manstir town on July 2nd will witness the host nation against Libya.

Earlier, prior to the draw, a workshop was held sponsored by the Arab Football Confederation to go over rules and regulations of the tournament. (end) nm.mb KUNA 302242 May 12NNNN
