MANAMA, Nov 7 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said here Wednesday the 125th GCC ministerial meeting highlighted Gulf integration and mutual interests.
Speaking to KUNA following the meeting, he said the GCC foreign ministers focused on political, economic, environmental and human affairs and common Gulf interests.
The meeting was followed by another meeting that was attended by the foreign ministers of Jordan and Morocco, in addition to those of the GCC member states, he said.
The second meeting was mainly meant to discuss a five-year plan of action to extend USD 10 billion in development aid to Jordan and Morocco, the Kuwaiti minister added.
They also mulled another plan of action for the GCC members, Jordan and Morocco, involving educational, health, security, economic and political sectors, he noted.
The GCC ministerial meeting discussed preparations and arrangements for a GCC summit due in Manama in December, he added.
