GENEVA, May 23 (KUNA) — Kuwait Wednesday highly appreciated the situation of human rights and state of law reinforcement in Morocco.

Delivering Kuwait’s speech at a UN human rights review meeting, Counselor with the Kuwaiti Permanent Delegation at the UN Talal Al-Muteiri said the Kingdom of Morocco had carried out judicial reforms with a view to ensuring judicial independence so as to shore up and protect human rights in the country.

He also spoke highly of Morocco’s national human development initiative purposed to fight poverty and exclusion.

However, he urged Morocco to continue with efforts to pay compensations to victims of human rights abuses. (end) ta.mt KUNA 231734 May 12NNNN
