KOICA Unveils Its Program Of Cooperation With Morocco For 2012

Rabat – The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has implemented a series of cooperation programs for the year 2012, focusing on projects under way, new projects and training .

The projects under way concern the implementation of the project of the Institute for advanced training in the automotive industry in Casablanca (IFMIAC), in partnership with the Department of Employment and Vocational Training, which will be launched in December 2012 for an amount of 6 million dollars for 2010-2013, KOICA said in a statement.

KOICA is also finalizing the project of the Moroccan Center for computer security incident management (ma-CERT) in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies (3.4 million USD for the period 2010-2012).

As for new projects, KOICA is launching trainings for strengthening capacities in international trade, in partnership with the Foreign Trade Department to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, with a budget of 2.950 million USD for the period 2012-2014.

It also plans to launch the project of capacity building in research and development in relation of the efficiency of solar energy in Morocco, in partnership with the Department of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment. The budget is 2.5 million dollars.

KOICA has also scheduled 10 training programs for the benefit of 45 Moroccan executives.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency added that 53 Korean volunteers will be assigned in 2012 to work in Morocco under the program (World Friends Korea).
