JCRC director Steven Dishler meets with Moroccan ambassador to U.S.
Director of International Affairs for JCRC, Steven Dishler; Ambassador of Morocco to U.S., Rachad Bouhlal
Steven Dishler, director of International Affairs for the Jewish Community Relations Council of JUF, met recently in Washington, DC with Rachad Bouhlal, Morocco’s ambassador to the United States.
During their two hour meeting, the two discussed efforts by King Muhammad VI to institute reforms in the country, the uprisings that are transforming the Arab world, Iran’s nuclear program and source of instability in the region, Morocco’s Jewish community, and relations with Israel.
Dishler offered to work with Marilyn Diamond, Morocco’s Honorary Consul General in Chicago, in efforts to strengthen US-Morocco relations.
