Tokyo – Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda highlighted, on Monday in Tokyo, the important role that Morocco plays as a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
The remark was made at the end of talks with Morocco’s visiting Foreign Minister Saad Dine El Otmani.
The Japanese official hailed Morocco’s efforts in the Security Council to resolve several issues in the Middle East.
He said bilateral economic ties with Morocco should be further reinforced notably in the field of renewable energies.
EL Otmani, for his part, described Morocco’s relations with Japan as “excellent”, saying that Morocco has the potential to become a hub for Japanese companies in terms of investment and exports to Europe.
