If you are a producer or director/producer of creative documentaries from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, the occupied Palestinian territory, Syria or Tunisia, the deadline to register to DOCmed 2013 is Monday 3 December 2013.

The training programme on documentary filmmaking to be organised in 2013 by the DocMed project funded by the EU under the Euromed Audiovisual III programme, will ensure to your project the best conditions of production.

The programme consists of three training sessions of one week each, over a one year period:
Session 1: Development (March 2013)
Session 2: Budgeting, packaging and financing (June 2013)
Session 3: Meeting with the decision makers (October 2013)

The selected producers will participate in international documentary markets.

DOCmed, a training programme implemented by Beirut DC (Lebanon), Eurodoc (France), and Doc à Tunis (Tunisia), in association with Arte France in the framework of the EU-funded Euromed Audiovisual III programme, works on international co-production of creative documentaries on a project basis. It is addressed to producers and directors/producers of Mediterranean Arab countries who are developing a project of international ambition. It aims at improving production standards, financing, and the management of documentary projects with international ambition, offering participants the opportunity to present their projects, helping them take on technological changes, setting up a network of professionals in the sector, and promoting exchange between Mediterranean and European audiovisual experts. Each year, 10 professional documentary producers are chosen to participate in the DOCmed programme.

The Euromed Audiovisual III programme aims to contribute to the development and strengthening of the capacity of the film sector in the ENPI South region (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia) and to contribute significantly to mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity, in line with the “Strategy for the Development of Euro-Mediterranean Audiovisual Cooperation”, approved by Euromed culture ministers in Athens in May 2008.
