What is the point continuously issuing so many warnings…it falls on defiant ears. Morocco and France taught them through actions what their place was. We need to start doing the same!

Do you think that any other country would allow its neighbour to enter their waters without permission? NO WAY!! Yet we are subject to Spanish bullying and constant incursions! I for one definitely think that there should be arrests after 2-3warnings because what is the point of giving warnings if you don’t take further action against the people being warned!?

warnings to spain are not effective ,so have to arrest.

Arrest is the only word they know, once we arrest a couple of boats they will get the message.

It is about time the GC boats which come into BGTW be arrested and thus bring the present problem to a head. What are we waiting for that someone should get killed?

If any Gibraltarian commits any offence within BGTW the full force of the law will be felt by that individual so why not by these people who threaten our territory on a daily basis?

If we confiscated all the GC boats that entered gib waters there’d be none left and Spain dont have enough money to replace them.

we are sick and tired of them

But every boat in Gibraltar should carry a VHF radio, flares and a video camera to deal and report any threats in the future.

the SPANISH are OVERFISHING everything with their small nets. They are ruining important foodchains, we are left to live with the results.

How can UK regard Spain as friends if they behave in the most unfriendly way possible?

Spanish fishermen have been ‘fined €3m in the European courts for illegally fishing hake in a protected area’ proves the Spanish can’t be trusted anywhere.

Some years ago cameras were placed at the frontier so that people all over the world could follow on-line the queues artificially created by Spain. We ought to do the same with the Spanish incursions into our waters. Cameras placed at prominent positions. Bullies act when they believe they can not be seen and never when they are in the public eye.

I’ve changed my vote. I voted for ‘warnings’ but now the Guardia Civil have arrested British citizens in British Gibraltar territorial waters, for a non-existent crime. Illegal Spanish fishermen should be arrested.
