MGM Resorts has pushed back its reopening of the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J., to July 26.
The resort had previously planned to reopen July 6. The Borgata’s hotel accommodations will operate at limited capacity, and the Borgata Casino will also be up and running.
Outdoor dining will be available at the Borgata Beer Garden and at new concepts like the Sunbar at the Water Club and Borgata Street Eats Food & Beer Trucks, while the Marketplace Eatery, Borgata Baking Company and Starbucks will be open for grab-and-go service.
Meals from Borgata restaurants like Old Homestead Steak House, Noodles of the World and Bread + Butter will be offering takeout and in-room delivery options only.
Iberostar has announced plans to reopen approximately 45 hotels across Spain, Portugal, Montenegro, Greece, Tunisia, Morocco, Jamaica and Mexico before the end of the summer. Properties set to be resuming operations shortly include the Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya, Iberostar Selection Playa Mita, Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Cancun in Mexico and the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites in Jamaica.

Mexico’s Rosewood San Miguel de Allende reopened on July 15. Select hotel restaurants and bars are operating with reduce seating protocols in place, and the property’s pool is also open, though capacity is capped at 50%. Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is also promoting stays at its two- to five-bedroom Rosewood Residences townhouse accommodations, which offer a more private experience.

Riu Hotels & Resorts reopened its Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout and Riu Tikida Dunas properties in Morocco on July 10 and July 12, respectively. The company plans to reopen its four other Moroccan properties — the Riu Tikida Beach, Riu Tikida Palmeraie, Riu Palace Tikida Agadir and Riu Tikida Garden– over the next four weeks.

Jamaican resort GoldenEye has announced plans to reopen Aug. 21. The luxury property, which features standalone villa accommodations, is offering 30% off room rates for residents of Jamaica, among other promotions.

Coco Collection’s Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu resorts in the Maldives will reopen Aug. 1.

The Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in La Romana resumed operations earlier this month. The property is offering its three- to five-bedroom Garden and Classic Villa accommodations at 50% off through Sept. 30.

The Suites Santo Domingo in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, has begun welcoming back guests. The boutique property offers apartment-style accommodations and is offering both traditional hotel and extended-stay booking options.

The Curtis in downtown Denver has reopened. The hotel is hosting events like socially distanced Masked Movie Nights, showcasing films featuring masked characters like Zorro and the Phantom of the Opera, and also offering a new buyout option, allowing guests to rent out an entire hotel floor to host their own private silent disco, laser tag event or slumber party.

The Mashpi Lodge, located within the Mashpi Rainforest Reserve in Quito, Ecuador, resumed operations on July 13. All buffet meals at the property have been replaced with a la carte service.
