Rabat – HM King Mohammed VI received on Tuesday a phone call from His Excellency Mariano Rajoy, President of the Spanish Government, the Royal Cabinet said in a statement.
During the telephone talks, HM the King and Rajoy highlighted the distinguished Moroccan-Spanish relations, the time-honoured friendship ties, the good neighbourliness and the multi-sector partnership between the two countries.
The Monarch and the President of the Spanish Government also expressed willingness to deepen relations between the two countries within the framework of their bilateral strategic partnership and Morocco’s privileged relations with the EU.
In this regard, HM the King and Rajoy expressed readiness to reinforce with mutual respect coordination on bilateral issues for the interest of their neighbourly peoples and to strengthen consultation on regional and international issues of common concern.
On this occasion, the President of the Spanish Government voiced hope to pay a friendly and working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the same source said.
