– HM the King hands cheques and equipment worth 750,000 dirham, to 32 ex-prisoners who hold projects.

The centre, which was built as part of expanding the socioprofessional integration measures for prisoners, will benefit ex-prisoners who hold projects, worked up on the basis of a diagnosis shared during the detention period with the department in charge of preparing for reintegration.

It is run by social workers and a cell specialized in seeking jobs, supporting projects and their financing through micro-credit, subsidies and equipment, settling family and administrative problems and providing medical follow-up.

The Sovereign enquired about the social and reintegration actions carried out by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of inmates at the Marrakech prison.

At the end of his visit to the various facilities of the centre, HM the King handed cheques and equipment, worth 750,000 dirham, to 32 ex-prisoners who hold projects.

A sum of 1.7 million dirham was earmarked for this year to carry out projects enabling the beneficiaries of the centre’s follow-up to join the labour market, lead a dignified life and contribute to the Kingdom’s development.
