Marrakech – HM King Mohammed VI chaired, on Monday at the royal palace of Marrakech, a Council of Ministers.
Following this meeting, the royal palace’s spokesperson Abdelhak Lamrini said the Council adopted three draft laws on approving international human rights agreements. They are the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
The adoption of these optional protocols are in line with Morocco’s international commitments in terms of human rights, and are a confirmation of its constitutional attachment to these rights and its unwavering determination to protect and promote them.
Afterwards, and in conformity with provisions of article 49 of the constitution and organic law 02-12, upon the proposal of the head of government and the initiative of Equipment and Transport minister, HM the King appointed:
Mohamed Hassad as president of the supervisory board of the company “Agence Spéciale Tanger-Méditerranée”.
Younes Tazi as director general of the Moroccan logistics agency “Agence Marocaine de Développement des Activités Logistiques”.
