Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg in Morocco for economic mission

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg are currently on an economic mission to Morocco with representatives of the Luxembourgish government.

Arriving late Sunday night, the Hereditary Grand Ducal Couple are joined by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Trade, Etienne Schneider, the Chamber of Commerce Director, Luc Frieden, and 50 Luxembourgish companies that represent a wide swath of business in the country.

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume has been the honorary chairman of the Board of Economic Development of Luxembourg since 2001.

Upon their arrival Sunday night in Casablanca, the Hereditary Grand Ducal Couple were greeted at the airport by government officials including Mouncef Belkhayat, the Vice-President of the Casablanca-Settat Region; Abdallah Chater, the Governor of Nouaceur; Saïd Ahmidouch, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat Region; and Mohamed Benchaaboun, the Minister of Economy and Finance.

They also met with Prince Moulay Rachid on Monday in Rabat at the Palace of Hosts. They visited the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern Art and were shown artwork by important Moroccan artists and foreign artists, as well.
