Rabat – Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane held, on Saturday in Rabat, consultations with a delegation from the national trade union for labor (UNTM).
In a statement to the press, employment minister Abdelouahed Souhail said the meeting is part of consultations held for a week now with major trade unions to examine prospects for developing social relations in the light of the current economic, social and political situation.
He added that a new meeting is slated next week with representatives of trade unions before taking a series of measures seeking to create a new context for the dialogue to address the country’s socio-economic challenges.
Deputy of UNTM’s secretary general Abdelilah El Halouti said that the meeting touched on delicate issues as pension, the subsidy fund and trade unionists’ liberties.
