Rabat  –  Chairman of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas) Khaled Meshaal on Saturday called on the Arab leaders to follow the Moroccan model in order to address “the Arab Spring “.

In a speech at the opening session of the 7th National caucus of the ruling Justice and Development Party (PJD), Meshaal described the Moroccan experience in dealing with the “Arab spring” as “avant-gardist,” saying that this bold act of HM King Mohammed VI will further consolidate the position of the Kingdom.

“I am very pleased with the Moroccan model to address the” Arab Spring” and Arab leaders must follow the same path to stop the bloodshed and conflicts … Our people are great and friendly and wish well to their country and leaders,” he said, calling on to continue this process of change.

Meshaal, who makes his first visit to the Kingdom at the head of a major Palestinian delegation, said the visit “comes at the invitation of General Secretary of the ruling PJD, Abdelilah Benkirane,” saying that this invitation is for him “an honor”.

He also pointed out that Morocco “remains a central concern of the Arab world,” recalling the efforts made by the Kingdom, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, to defend the Palestinian cause.
