Laurent Lamothe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has indicated that in the margins of the inauguration of President Otta Molina in Guatemala, he had initiated new bilateral discussions with Saad-Eddine El Othmani, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco.
The two ministers shared the philosophy of the Business Diplomacy, agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the field of scholarship in all sectors, especially in civil engineering, academic exchanges and economic partnership through investments holders of capital.
The Minister Laurent Lamothe stressed the urgent need for a increased cooperation, continuous and permanent with Morocco who since January 2010 offers to Haiti a significant humanitarian support. He recalled the commitments made to the Haitian Chancellery, by Dr. Brahim Moussa Hussein, Ambassador of Morocco in Haiti, around the support of Morocco, to the training of human resources, a priority for the current Haitian government. The Chancellor Lamothe emphasized on the importance of current bilateral relations and his willingness to deepen them as part of the business diplomacy.
Saad Eddine El-Othman stressed that Morocco had enjoyed the international support received of Haiti during the difficult times, including, to the United Nations for the preservation of its territorial integrity.
