Gulfsands Petroleum Recommences Drilling Of Morocco Gas Well
Fri, 20th Jun 2014
LONDON (Alliance News) – Gulfsands Petroleum PLC Friday said it has recommenced drilling of Lalla Yetou Updip-1 gas exploration well in Morocco.
The well is designed to be drilled to a total vertical depth of approximately 1,180 metres and will evaluate predicted Miocene aged sandstone reservoirs contained within a fault bound structural closure that have been identified from 3D seismic data as having the potential to be gas bearing.
Gulfsands said the well is located up dip structurally from a previous well, Lalla Yetou-3, which found gas bearing sands.
The company expects drilling operating at Lalla Yetou Updip-1 gas exploration well to be completed within 28 days.
Gulfsands shares were quoted flat at 50.00 pence Friday morning.
