Rabat – The German government is committed to supporting the democratization and regionalization process in Morocco, German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel, said on Monday in Rabat.
Speaking at a joint press briefing with Moroccan Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri, at the end of their talks, the German official reaffirmed the support of his government to renewable energy projects and sustainable economic development in Morocco.
He announced, in this regard, an additional contribution of 80 million Euros to fund solar and desalination plants.
On his part, Fassi Fihri commended cooperation relations between the two countries, praising the support of the German authorities for technical cooperation with Morocco, notably in terms of drinking water, energy and vocational training.
