Rabat – The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will rise by 4.1% in 2012 due to the amelioration of non-agricultural products expected to reach 5.2%, head of the High Planning Commission (HCP) Ahmed Lahlimi Alami said on Friday in Rabat.
These results are ascribed to the value added of the service sector (5.2%), he said during the presentation of the HCP’s draft budget before the finance and economic development committee at the lower house.
He noted that the industrial sector will be slightly affected by the economic stagnation in the Euro area, and similarly, the primary sector will drop by 2.1 compared to 2011.
He said that the forecasts of the 2012 economic budget are based on figures provided for in this year’s appropriation bill draft, and on the probability of producing 60 million quintals of crops in 2011-20112.
