GCC Determined To Foster Strategic Partnership With Morocco And Jordan, Official

Kuwait  –  The member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are committed to bolstering the strategic partnership with Morocco and Jordan to pave the way for an advanced integration in several fields, GCC’s Secretary General Abdellatif Al-Zyani said on Wednesday.

“The Council’s member states  are willing to promote their strategic partnership with the two kingdoms (Morocco and Jordan),” Al-Zyani told the press.

Such large-scale cooperation requires the setting up of a coordination and complementarity strategies, Al-Zyani added.

On Syria, Al-Zyani said that the GCC backs the Arab League’s decisions, voicing hope that the Arab initiative will help avoid a scenario in Syria similar to that of Libya.

GCC’s Secretary General made it clear that Gulf countries refuse Iran’s mingling in their internal affairs and stressed the need for a Middle East free of nuclear weapons.
