France Lends Morocco $58 Million USD For Urban And Rural Drinking Water Programs

The French Development Agency (AFD) and the Moroccan National Office for Electricity and Water (ONEE) have signed two loan agreements for MAD 536 million ($56 million) and MAD 10.7 million ($1.13 million).

The funding from AFD will go towards a program run by the ONEE to improve access to drinking water in northern Morocco. The purpose of the program is to ensure access to safe drinking water in the provinces of Al Hoceima, Driouch, Nador, and Taounate, in both urban and rural areas.
