FM welcomes Liberia’s ‘full solidarity’ with Morocco regarding the Sahara issue

Rabat – Morocco’s Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri, welcomed the “full solidarity” of Liberia with Morocco regarding the Sahara issue following a meeting on Thursday with his Liberian counterpart in Rabat Toga Grayewea McIntosh.

“We welcome the determination of Liberia to cooperate with the kingdom for further development and prosperity, especially after the referendum on the new Constitution, and the full solidarity of Liberia with Morocco regarding the Sahara issue,” Fassi Fihri said at a joint press briefing with the Liberian official.

The visit is part of regular political dialogue between Morocco and Liberia, the Minister added, noting that the dialogue covers various aspects of bilateral cooperation and current developments on the African continent.

On this part, McIntosh said that his meeting with his Moroccan counterpart focused on ways to strengthen the economic development of Liberia and Morocco’s role in this process, expressing the determination of both countries to promote further their relations.

He also welcomed the convergence of views between Monrovia and Rabat on regional and international issues of common interest.
