Amman – A Moroccan aircraft carrying the first cargo of Morocco’s humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in Jordan landed on Sunday at the Marqa military airport, east of the capital Amman.
The aircraft carried a medical and surgical field hospital with all specialties which will be set up by the Royal Armed Forces.
The hospital will be supervised by a staff of 75 doctors and nurses who will provide different medical services to the Syrian refugees.
Four other Moroccan aircrafts will deliver more logistical and humanitarian support later in the day, while two others will arrive on Monday.
This aid is dispatched in implementation of the Royal decision to send an important Moroccan specialised mission with a sizeable logistical and humanitarian support
To help the Syrian refugees in their ordeal, the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation will also send 60 tons of basic foodstuffs, such as sugar, flour, cooking oil. Another 55 tons and powder milk for children provided by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity will add to that aid.
Through this contribution, the Kingdom of Morocco expresses its full solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people, in these painful, tragic times of its history.
