Members of the February 20th Movement are today calling for a boycott of the constitutional referendum put forth by King Mohammed VI and peaceful protests, according to an article in the Agence France-Presse (AFP).
“We call for a boycott of this draft constitution which we reject,” the youth-based group said in a statement on its Facebook page, restating its demands for “dignity, democracy and social justice by peaceful means.”
Campaigning for the referendum began yesterday and will continue until June 30th. The reforms will be voted on July 1st.
